Claimant states that the above described mare was taken from him in the year 1830, Claimant states that a white man came to his house and took off his mare in open day in presence of his family. The claimant was absent at the time he has never seen his mare since, and has not ever received any compensation for the mare, the name of this Whiteman is unknown to claimant but a citizen of the United States.
Personally came before me James Tu-nu-ah of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that the above is accurate statement of claims against the United States for property taken from him by a Whiteman a citizen of the United States and the property is worth the amount charged in the account To the best of his knowledge & belief

Personally came before me Robert Sleeve & Dick Coon of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that they were well acquainted with claimant & his mare they were at claimant’s house when a whiteman came to claimant’s house and took off claimant’s mare the name of the man is unknown to witnesses but a white man and a citizen of the United States are just and true to the best of their knowledge and belief
