Amos Thornton (abt 1/8 Cherokee), Nancy Massingale(widow of Cherokee- mother of claimant. He was abt 16 when we emigrated. Whirlwind left before claimant born. I raised him. Never remarried. My father white- mother half-breed Kautaba.

Half breed. Father a Cherokee, mother a white. Claim inc ferry boat. Had a white man named Thornbeerry make na improvement. Was abt 14 yrs old.
