To 7 grown hogs sows 6.00 each & 24 shoats 1.00 | 66.00

Personally came before me George Sanders the claimant of the Cherokee nation East and solemnly affirmed that the above is a just amount of property against the United States which was taken from him in said District by a white man citizen of the United States named William Lay and that said Lay would kill his hogs and leave them lying about here and there for nothing but malicious mischief and that the above is a reasonable price and that he has never received any value for the same

 

Affirmed to before me this 6th day Sept 1838

Personally came before me George Tuh-nooe and Little Soap of the Cherokee nation East and solemnly affirmed that a white citizen of the United States by the name of William Lay did wantonly and willfully kill kill the above described hogs belonging to George Sanders the claimant for malicious mischief and would leave the hogs wherever he would kill them and that the claimant has never received any value for said hogs.

 

Affirmed to before me this the 6th September 1838
