To Darkey Hickory Log District East

 

To 3 head of cattle 7.00 each | 21.00

 

Claimant states that the above described cattle was stolen from her in the year 1827 claimant states that sometime after her cattle was stolen she found them in possession of a white man by the name of Ratliff she claimed her cattle but he would not let claimant have them Ratliff is a white man and a citizen of the United States.

 

Personally came before me Darkey of the Cherokee nation East and solemnly affirmed that the above is a correct statement of claims against the United States for property stolen from her by a white man a citizen of the United States and the amount charged in the account is just and true to the best of her knowledge and belief.

Affirmed to before me the 6th day of Sept 1838

Personally came before me Crow Mocker and Selling Bean of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that they were well acquainted with claimants cattle and they seen claimants cattle in possession of a white man by the name of Ratliff said Ratliff is a whiteman and a citizen of the United States and the amount charged in the account is just and true to the best of their knowledge and beliefs.

 

Affirmed to before me this 6th day of Sept 1838
