For 2 black horses 4 years old at $60 ea | 120.00

“ 1 sorrel mare 4 “ DO at | 50.00

“ 30 head of grown cattle $12 ea. | 372.00

“ 120 “ “ “ hogs at $5.00 ea | 600.00

Personally came before me Betsy Bearpaw the claimant of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirmed that the above is a just account of property against the United States which was stolen from her about 6 years ago by white men citizens of the United States, claimant does not recollect but one of the men’s names, and that was a man by the name of Maddox and that the above is a reasonable price and that she has never received any value of the same

 

Affirmed to before me this the 10th day of Sept 1838

Personally came before me Tuhnoo-e and Tar-low-we of the Cherokee nation east, and solemnly affirmed that they are acquainted with the above named property and state that this property was stolen from Betsy Bearpaw the claimant about 6 years ago by whitemen citizens of the United States, one man by the name of Cochran the other the witnesses does not know their names, but states that they were white men and said men did steal in as (illegible) with Cochran, the above named property and conveyed said property out of the bounds of the Cherokee Nation so that claimant could not get hold of any part thereof, and states that the different items in the above account is well worth the amount affixed to them in the above account and that claimant has never received any value for said property or any part thereof, to our knowledge

 

Affirmed to before me this the 11th day of September 1838
