For 1 nag mare 5 years old at | 50.00

“ 1 grey mare 6 “ “ at | 80.00

“ 1 bay mare 2 “ “ at | 40.00

“ 1 grey horse 8 year old at | 40.00

“ 1 black horse 10 “ “ DO | 100.00

“ 150 head of cattle at $10 pr head | 1500.00

“ 20 head of hogs $7.50 pr head | 150.00

Total | 1960.00

 

Claimant states that the three first mentioned mares was stolen from claimant in 1825 by a whiteman by the name of Jack West, claimant states that she did not see the above described horses in possession of said West but was informed by said West’s wife’s brother that West had run the horses off, claimant states that the after two was taken by a man of the name of Philpot in 1826 claimant states that she did not see the said Philpot with her horses herself but was told by two woman that they saw the said Philpot in the woods the same day the horses were stolen to the next item claimant states that they were stolen from her in 1825 by the same West and Tatum and others stolen her cattle, claimant states that she did not see her cattle in possession of the above named persons but was informed that they had killed them, claimant states that the 20 head of hogs was stolen by the above mentioned Philpot claimant states that she did not see her hogs in possession of the aid Philpot but was informed so.

 

Personally came before me Nancy of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirmed that the foregoing statement of claims against the United States for property stolen by whitemen citizens of the United States are just and true to the best of their knowledge and belief

 

Affirmed before me 17th day of Sept 1838

Personally came before me Ephraim Rustybelly and Stop of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirmed that they were well acquainted with claimant & her property witnesses states that they one(?) of the above described bay mares in possession of a white man a citizen of the United States. Witnesses states that they were asked to follow these men that stole them and overtook them at Chattahoochee River and saw the cattle in possession of white men citizens of the U.S. Witnesses asked for canoes to cross the river and could not get any. Witnesses states they knew nothing of the hogs more than claimant lost them and that the foregoing statements are just and true to the best of their knowledge and belief

 

Affirmed to before me 17th of Sept 1838
