For 1 grey horse at | 100.00

“ 11 head of cattle at $15 each | 170.00

“ 28 head of hogs at $5 ea | 140.00

“ 18 “ of hogs $4.50 | 81.00

“ 15 head of cattle $13.50 | 202.50

The above described horses was stolen in the year 1829 claimant states that a man by the name of Tatum stole his horse out of his stable and claimant followed said Tatum into Georgia and found his horse in Tatum’s hand or possession, and claimant could not get his horse from Tatum’s and has not received any compensation for his horse since, Tatum is a citizen of the United States the first described 11 head of cattle was stolen in the year 1829 claimant states that his cattle was stolen out of the range and he pursued them and found them in a whiteman’s pen his name unknown to claimant but a citizen of the United States. The first described 28 head of hogs was stolen in the same year, claimant states that a whiteman by the name of William Baker stole his hogs out of his field and pursued them and found them in said Baker’s pen, and could not get them, Baker is a citizen of the United States. The last described hogs was stolen at the same time with the first described hogs all by said Baker. The last described cattle was stolen in the year 1830 claimant states that his cattle was stolen out of the range and shortly afterwards he found them in the possession of a whiteman his name unknown to claimant but a citizen of the United States.

 

Personally came before me Lo-chee of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirmed that the above is a correct statement of claims against the United States for property stolen from him by whitemen citizens of the United States, for which he has not received compensation and the foregoing account is just and true to the best of his knowledge and belief

Personally came before me Chu-ee and Jack Downing of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirmed that they were well acquainted with claimant’s property and we have seen the foregoing described property of claimants in possession of white citizens of the United States and we believe all of the foregoing account is just and true to the best of our knowledge and belief
