To Jack Winn of Hickory Log District

 

“ 6 head of cows at $12 | 72.00

“ 17 “ “ hogs at $4.00 | 68.00

Total | 140.00

 

Claimant states that the above described cattle was stolen from him in the year 1831 claimant states he has not seen his cattle since they was stolen from him but has good reasons to believe they was taken by a white citizen of the United States. The above described hogs was stolen from him in the year 1834 claimant states that sometime after his hogs was stolen he found them in possession of a whiteman his name unknown to claimant said whiteman told claimant that if he would prove his hogs he would give them up claimant returned with his witnesses and said whiteman told him his hogs was turned out of the pen and they could not be found aid whitemanis a citizen of the United States

 

Personally came before me Jack Winn of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that the above is a correct statement of claims against the United States for property stolen from him by whitemen citizens of the United States is just and true to the best of his knowledge and belief

Personally came before e Su-ya-tah & Bark Chicken of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that they was well acquainted with claimant’s cows and while in the woods hunting they saw 2 white men driving off claimant’s cows the names of the whitemen are not known to witnesses but they are citizens of the United States. The foregoing account against the United States they believe to be just and true to the best of their knowledge and belief

Personally came before me Sparrow Hawk and Bark Chicken of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that they was well acquainted with claimant’s hogs and they saw claimant’s hogs in possession of a whiteman his name unknown to witnesses but a citizen of the United States they believe the foregoing account against the United States to be just and true to the best of their knowledge and belief
