To Nancy Still of Hickory Log Dist

Personally came before me Nancy Still of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that the above is a just account of property stolen from her by Alfred Reese and James Kill white men citizens of the United States. The above describe two horses was stolen by James Kill a white man done on standing Peachtree about 17 years ago Claimant states she did not see the horses in the possession of said Kill but has good reasons for believing said Kill stole them. The next described $820 was stolen by a white man by the  name of Alfred Reese done in  Hickory Log  Dist about 4 months ago claimant states when she was forced to leave her house by the United  States troops in May last that the  troops compelled her to go and she left her house exposed she states that when she left that the Reese was at her  house she states that she was  permitted to return the next day and she found her door nailed she states she broke open  the door and found her trunk broke open and her money gone and has good reasons for believing said Reese done it. The prices are reasonable and the amount of money is correct and that she has had no pay for the same.

Personally came before me George Still and Ned Still of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly

affirmed that they was well acquainted with the claimant and her property and that they know that her horses was stolen from her and that they heard that a white man named Kill stole them. They further say the prices is reasonable and that claimant has had no pay for the same to the best of their knowledge and belief

Personally came before me Sally Still and Betsy Woodall of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that when the United States troops compelled the claimant to leave her house that the said Alfred Reese remained in the house and that the claimant was permitted to return the next day she the claimant found her house nailed up and claimant broke the door down and found her trunk open and the money gone they further say that the said Reese left that neighborhood and did not return during the time that they remained in that county they further say that the amount is correct and that claimant has not received any value for the same to the best of their knowledge and belief
