Notes/Comments
Emigrated from ceded lands TN in 1819. Per Amos Thornton: I emigrated in 1834 from Sugar Camp Creek, 10 mi from Calhoun TN. Claimant is my mother. She emigrated to AR in 1829 from nr Shoemake Town Ga at house of O'Dair, a relation. In 1817 I lived w/mother 10 mi from SW Point. Mother was absent at Jackson's Treaty. Only children at home. Whiteman named Jno King took horse -said to take to mother (she had not). I was then 12-14 years old. We lived abt 55 miles from Treaty Ground. King had son-in-law Jesse Poor who disappered same night as horse.
