Peggy Williams being duly qualified states In 1838 early in the spring I sold the above described mare to a White man named Micajah Bracket he was to pay for it immediately but continued putting off from time to time till I was forced to come off to this country, with the general Emigration

M.C. Wood being duly qualified, says Peggy Williams requested me to collect the money for her of the above named Bracket. I went to him several times for the money. He acknowledged the debt but put it off with promising to pay, till we were forced to come off with the Detachment to this country. Mrs. Williams lived in my family at the time I tryed to get the money and could not get the money by any means
