Personally came before me James Van the claimant of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirmed that the above is a just account of property against the United States which was stolen from him about six years ago in said Dist by white man citizens of the United States by the names of Tatum and Cochran, that the above is a reasonable price and that he has never received any value for the same

Personally came before me Tah-noo-e and Too-nar-na-lar of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirm that are acquainted with the above named property and that said property was stolen from claimant about five years ago by two white men citizens of the United States named Cochran and Tatum, and that said white men neither put said property out of their hand or sold it to some person, so that when claimant went to said men to get his property, they then said Cochran and Tatum said that no such property was in their possession and witnesses further state that they saw the said Tatum and Cochran have the above property of the claimant in their possession and that claimant has never received any value for said property to our knowledge.
