For 1 bay mare 5 years old | 100.00

“ 1 chestnut sorrel horse 7 years old | 70.00

“ 1 gray mare 10 “ old | 80.00

Personally came before me Soap of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirmed that the above is a just account of property stolen by white men citizens of the United States, the first described bay mare was stolen by a white man named William Heard down on Soap Creek near Chattahoochee River about 15 years ago, claimant states he did not see his mare in said Heard’spossession but has good reasons for believing said Heard stole her, the next described was a chestnut sorrel horse, stolen by the same William Heard a whiteman down on Soap Creek near the Chattahoochee River about 15 years ago, claimant states he did not see his mare in said Heard’s possession but has good reasons for believing said Heard stole said horse. The next was a grey mare stolen by a whiteman name not recollected down at the Shallow Ford on the Chattahoochee River about 15 yeas ago. Claimant states he did not see said white man have the mare in possession but has good reasons for believing said white man stole her, claimant states that said whiteman had claimant’s saddle & bridle and gave them to the claimant but told him he should not have the horses until the next day, the next day claimant could not find the white man, he further said he has had no pay for the said horses as described above

Personally came before me Yellow Paw of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirmed that he saw the said whiteman Wm. Heard have them in his possession the two first described horses a bay mare and a sorrel mare the next day after they was taken he also saw the claimant the same day he saw the whiteman with the horses and told him and he replied that his horses had been stolen and that he knew the said whiteman had stolen the said two horses, also the next described gray mare witness states he saw the said white man name not recollected have the above described gray mare in his possession shortly after the horses was stolen, he also saw claimant shortly after and told him, he replied his horses had been stolen from him something previous to the time before he saw the mare, that the prices of the horses is reasonable and that claimant has had no pay for the same the best of his knowledge and belief
