Cash paid in endeavoring to get the above stolen property back | 21.00

Personally came before me Tuh-quah the claimant of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that the above is a just account of property against the United States as he has good reasons to believe that they was stolen from him in said dist by whitemen citizens of the United States named as follows John Kellie and a Mr. Ballles(?) Mr. Lidbetter(?) Mr Peter Samuel Thomas, Jack Carroll and William Pots and some part thereof of the above was stolen from him in said dist about thirteen years ago and some 8 years ago and further said that the above is a just and reasonable price and that he has never received any value for the same

Personally came before me Arch Van of the Cherokee Nation East and affirmed that something like 13 years ago that he met a whiteman by the name of John Kellie riding one of the bay horses that belonged to claimant described in the foregoing statement of his account the horse was young and I think about 2 years old and witness states that he went and told claimant that he saw Kelles(?) riding of claimant’s horse along the road and states that claimant pursued on after Kelles(?) but could not over take him witness further states that he saw a sorrel horse belonging to claimant in the lot of a Mr. Ledbetter and that Ledbetter claimed the horse and said that the horse belonged to him and that it did not belong to claimant but witness said that it was claimant’s horse for he was acquainted with the horses and witness further states the(?) was well acquainted with claimant’s turkies and chickens and states Mr Godman(?) who who lives on Hightower River in Lumkin County Georgia took by force claimant’s turkies and chickens and witness states so far as he is acquainted with the foregoing described property belonging to claimant he (illegible) to be a reasonable price for the same and that claimant has never before received any value for any part there of to his knowledge
