“ 1 bay horse 6 years old | 50.00

“ 1 brown mare 4 years old | 40.00

“ 9 head of cattle $10.00 each | 90.00

Claimant states that the described bay horse was taken from him in the year 1835 claimant states that his horse strayed off from his and was taken up and sold by a whiteman by the name of Jack Eliott as his own property Claimant saw his horse in possession of a whiteman but he would not give up his horse said men are citizens of the United States claimant states that the brown mare was stolen from him in the year 1836. Claimant states that she has never seen her mare since she was stolen but heard that she was stolen by a whiteman citizen of the United States claimant states that her cattle was stolen from here in the year 1830 claimant has not seen her cattle since they was stolen but heard a whiteman had stole them by the name of Cochran a citizen of the United States Claimant states that her hogs was stolen from her in the year 1836 claimant states she seen her hogs in possession of a whiteman his name unknown to claimant but a citizen of the United States

 

Personally came before me An-a-wokee of the Cherokee Nation east and solemnly affirmed that the above is a correct statement of claims against the United States for property stolen by whitemen citizens of the United States and that the amount charged in the account is just and true to the best of her knowledge and belief

 

Affirmed to before me this the 7 day of September 1838

Personally came before me Elk and Tol-is-kee of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that they was well acquainted with claimant’s property and they have seen all the foregoing described property in possession of whitemen citizens of the United States and the amount charged in the account is just and true to the best of their knowledge and belief

 

Affirmed to before me this 7 day of September 1838
