To Thomas Fourkiller of Hickory Log Dist

 

“ 16 head of hogs grown 6.00 each | 96.00

“ 1 black horse 5 years old | 80.00

Total | 176.00

 

Personally came before me Thomas Fourkiller of the Cherokee Nation East and affirmed that the above is a just account of property against the United States which was stolen from him in said dist about 6 years past by a whiteman citizen of the United States name he knows but cannot call it in English but the above is a reasonable price for said horse and that he has never received any value for the same

 

Affirmed to before me this the 7 Sept 1838

Personally came before me Larkin Fourkiller of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed about 6 years ago he saw a whiteman citizen of the United States has the above described hogs and horse in possession name of the man he know but cannot name it in English more than his given name which witness states was James and states claimant endeavored to get his property and that claimant has never received any value for said property to his knowledge

 

Affirmed to before me this the 7 day of Sept 1838
