To Jack Still of Hickory Log Dist.

“ 1 Bay mare 5 years old | 100.00
“ Silver | 15.00

The above described mare was taken in the year 1820 Claimant states that he loaned his mare to a white man by the name of Mitchel and while Mitchel had his mare she died said Mitchel promised to pay claimant for his mare but claimant states he has not received any compensation for said mare Mitchel is a citizen of the United States The next account is for money loaned in 182(illegible) claimant states that he loaned a white man by the name of Spencer 15 dollars in silver which said Spencer promised to pay claimant shortly afterwards which money claimant has not received any part there of said Spencer is a citizen of the United States

Personally came before me Jack Still of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that the foregoing is a correct statement of claims against the United States for his mare and money due him from white man citizens of the United States for which he has not received any value is just and true to the best of their knowledge and ability

Affirmed before this the 22 day of September 1838

Personally came Edward Still and George Still of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that they was well acquainted with claimants mare and we do know that she was road off by a white man by the by the name of Mitchel and died in his possession and he agreed to pay claimant for his mare we also knew that the said Spencer borrowed Claimants money all of which we believe to be yet due said men are citizens of the United States and we believe the above account to be just and true to the best of our knowledge and belief
