Personally came before me John Por of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that the above is a just account of property against the United States which was stolen and took from him in said dist by white men citizens of the United States named Cockrum Cass(?) and Tatum about 6 years ago and that a white man citizen of the United States name not recollected hired his horse for 10 days at 50c per day would not nor did not pay claimant for the same Claimant was then forced to have it unsettled by the authorities of the United States in May Last and that the above prices for his property is reasonable and that he has never received any value for the same
Affirmed as before this the 14 day of September 1838

Personally came before me Hawk & Six Killer of the Cherokee Nation East and approves that they are acquainted with the above named property that belonged to John Por the claimant and that said property was stolen from claimant about 6 years ago by white men citizens of the United States named Cochron Tatum and Cass and states they saw said white men have said horse and cattle of claimant in possession about the before named time and that claimant did hire his horse to a white man citizen of the United States last spring and that the hire of said horse amounted to four dollars which said white men did agree to pay claimant for his horse and that claimant has never any part there of our knowledge and belief
