To Wat-tee of Hickory Log Dist

 

“ 30 head of cattle | 300.00

 

Personally came before me Wat-tee of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that the above is a just account of property stolen from her by one Taitum a whiteman a citizen of the United States done on Etower River about 9 years ago claimant states she did not see said Taitumwith the cows in his possession but has good reasons for believing said Taitum stolen her cows that the above is a reasonable price and that she has had no pay for said cows

 

Affirmed to before me this the 3 day of Sept 1838

Personally came before me Crow and Locust of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that they saw the cows as described and tracked them to a white man’s house about 50 miles from where they was taken and also said that the price is reasonable and that claimant has had no pay for the same to the best of there knowledge and belief
