“ 1 bay horse 6 years old at $50.00 | 50.00

“ 1 grey horse 3 DO DO at 60.00 | 60.00

“ $175 compelled to pay for nothing | 175.00

“ 1 sorrel horse 4 years old at 40.00 | 40.00

Total | 325.00

Claimant states that the first described bay horse was taken from him in 1833 by a white man a citizen of the United States claimant states that he did not see the white man with his horse but was informed that a man the name of snake(?) the other which is his(?) gray is in the same situation the one hundred and seventy five was paid by claimant to one Eli McConell of Cherokee County Georgia which claimant never received any thing for claimant states that the last mentioned horse was taken from claimant by force of arm 1835 by a white man a citizen of the United States by the name of Cornelius Cooper made some pretended claim which was unjust

Personally came before me Alexander Downing of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that the foregoing statements of claims against the United States for property stolen by whitemen citizens of the United States are just and true to the best of his knowledge and belief

Affirmed to before me the 20th day of September 1838

Personally came before me Livi Joe of the Cherokee Nation East and solemnly affirmed that he was well acquainted with claimant and his property and that claimant lost his property as above mentioned witness state he saw claimant robbed of the last mentioned horse by the above named Cooper and that the foregoing statements are just and true to the best of his knowledge and belief

Affirmed to before me this 20th day of September 1838
